In honour of Remembrance Day, the dedicated cadets of Philips High School engaged in a meaningful series of activities to show respect and raise funds for veterans. Over the last two weeks, the cadets have been actively involved in selling poppy merchandise, both around the school grounds and in the community. With great enthusiasm and dedication, they volunteered two weekends to raise funds at local supermarkets, connecting with the community to raise awareness and gather contributions for veterans and their families.

The cadets’ commitment continued on Remembrance Sunday as they attended the special service held at All Saints Church. During this solemn gathering, they joined the community in honouring the sacrifices of those who served in the armed forces. Following the church service, the cadets laid wreaths at the cenotaph in a touching tribute to fallen soldiers, marking the occasion with reverence and respect.

This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to instilling values of respect, responsibility, and service in its students, with the cadets leading by example. Their dedication is a reminder of the importance of remembering those who served and supporting veterans today.
