Behaviour expectations

As part of our ongoing improvements, we have introduced a new behaviour policy, in line with our new trust, Oak Learning Partnership. A copy of the policy is available at the bottom of this page.

One key change is the introduction of the term “correction,” which replaces the term “detention.” Corrections are a vital part of our commitment to ensuring a focused learning environment where all students can thrive.

To ensure all students are prepared and ready to learn, we have built in time before the start of the school day for students to check that they have all the necessary equipment and are wearing the correct uniform. For any student in need of uniform or equipment, we have a well-stocked school uniform shop.

Corrections will last up to 60 minutes each day, and it is crucial that students complete them on the same day they are issued so that they can begin the next day with a fresh start. Should a student miss a correction, the time may be extended to up to 75 minutes the following day.

The best teaching and learning can only happen when there are no disruptions and we are committed to maintaining a purposeful and focused climate for learning.
